About the Podcast

I Drink My Coffee Black and My Whiskey Neat isn’t just a podcast. It’s a mindset. A space where bold conversations are poured straight, no chaser. It’s where raw thoughts meet real talk, whether over coffee or something stronger.

Created by Ron Eastman — someone who doesn’t just think deeply, but questions, dissects, and examines the layers beneath what most take at face value. He doesn’t just feel and move on. He wants to know where it came from, what it’s tied to, and what it’s trying to say — even if the reflection he’s questioning is his own.

Some episodes feel like a corner booth at your favorite coffee shop: thoughtful, warm, a little introspective. Others hit like last call at a whiskey bar: unfiltered, real, and maybe even a little messy.

What makes this podcast different? Ron doesn’t talk at you. He talks with you. About life. About pain. About what matters when the noise fades and the room gets quiet.

A Little More About Ron

Ron has always been a quiet person. Not shy — just someone who learned early that speaking too much can get you misunderstood, judged, or dismissed. So he stayed quiet. But he never stopped thinking. And now, this podcast is where he finally says the things he never got to.

Ron served twelve years in the military, then spent years protecting lives across the globe as a high-profile bodyguard, working in everything from combat zones to conflict-heavy regions. He’s seen some of the worst of humanity… and some of the best.

Life looks different now. These days, he’s navigating health challenges, memory lapses, and moments of stillness that speak louder than the chaos he once knew. He’s a husband, a father, and a man learning to live with the weight of things he never said, until now.

This podcast is where his mind has room to wander.

And where he finally speaks the things he’s held inside.

Thanks for pulling up a chair. I’m glad you’re here.
