Frequently Asked Questions
Not everything needs a microphone. Some things just need a clear answer and a quiet room.
What kind of podcast is this?
Not a show. A pour.
The kind of conversation that usually happens when the world gets quiet and your thoughts get loud.
Is this a drinking podcast?
Not really. The drinks set the tone, but the conversation is the point.
Coffee is for reflection. Whiskey is for truth.
What makes a “Coffee” episode different from a “Whiskey” one?
☕ Coffee episodes are reflective.
They feel like slow mornings — grounded, curious, honest.
🥃 Whiskey episodes go deeper.
They pour from the places we usually keep quiet.
Both are real. Just a different kind of real.
Is it always just you, or are there guests?
Most episodes are monologue-style.
Just me, the mic, and the moment.
But every voice poured into this — even silently — helps shape what’s said.
What kinds of stories do you tell?
Real ones.
Some from my past — military, family, trauma, healing.
Others are metaphors, reflections, or thoughts that showed up uninvited.
They all come from a place I’m finally ready to speak from.
Do I need to listen in order?
No. Start wherever your heart lands.
Each episode stands on its own. Some are soft. Some are raw. All are honest.
What if I’m not sure this is my kind of podcast?
Start with a trailer.
One’s light like coffee.
One’s raw like whiskey.
See which one speaks to you — and go from there.
Do I need to relate to your story to get something out of it?
Not at all.
This isn’t about matching my path — it’s about finding truth in it.
If something I say stirs something in you, then it’s already yours too.
Where can I listen?
Anywhere you get your podcasts: Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Google, and more.
How often are new episodes released?
Season 1 begins with the first three episodes on July 30th.
After that, a new pour every Wednesday.
Can I suggest a topic or be a guest?
Maybe.
Use the Contact page to reach out — especially if you’ve got a story that’s been waiting to be poured.
Is this podcast safe for work or family listening?
Depends on the pour.
Some episodes are soft. Others are raw.
I don’t aim to shock — but I won’t silence the truth either.
Headphones recommended when in doubt.
Will this podcast ever include interviews or guests?
Maybe.
If someone shows up who’s lived something worth pouring — unfiltered, honest, without performance — I might pass the mic.
But I won’t force it.
Is this podcast for everyone?
Probably not.
But if you feel things deeply — even if you don’t always say it out loud — then yeah… this might be for you.
Why do you say “pour” so much?
Because that’s what we’re doing here.
Pouring thoughts. Pouring stories. Pouring silence and truth.
This is what comes out when you stop holding back.
What’s with the name?
It’s personal.
I drink my coffee black and my whiskey neat.
No sugar. No chaser. Just like this podcast.
Why do you drink black and neat?
Because coffee has a story in it. Add too much, and you miss what it’s trying to say.
Whiskey’s the same. Neat, it makes you slow down. You feel it all.
I’m not here to mask things. I’m here to taste them.
That’s how this podcast works too.
